CBS19 WEATHER: Rainy at times Saturday

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Howdy East Texas,

Next storm up! The last time may have left us high and dry but the next storm system won't miss. There is a very likely chance for rain and thunderstorms this weekend, especially Saturday morning and Saturday night. The Weather Prediction Center has placed East Texas in a slight risk for flash flooding. This means there could be scattered areas of high water as one to three inches of rain falls between Saturday morning and Sunday morning.

Here's your forecast:

SATURDAY:

Expect rain and thunderstorms to move across East Texas Saturday morning. The focus of the rain will be along a stalled frontal boundary. The front will play a huge role in high temperatures Saturday afternoon. Temperatures along and north of the front will fall into the 50s as steady areas of rain fall. Farther south, in Deep East Texas, there is a chance for a dry afternoon and temperatures in the 70s. By Saturday evening, all of will see rain and it could be heavy at times as the last wave of rain moves through the region.

SUNDAY:

Don't despair, you'll have a chance to get outside and enjoy some sunshine Sunday afternoon. But before we get there, we'll wake up to a cloudy sky Sunday morning with temperatures in the upper 40s. Once the sky clears, a breezy north wind and sunshine will combine to create a cool afternoon with a high in the low to mid-60s.
