TYLER, Texas — It seems like it has been weeks since we had a couple dry days in a row across East Texas; and although not all of us will be dry Thursday and Friday, many of us will. Shower and storm chances though will increase as we get going into the weekend and the beginning of next week. The most likely area to see more precipitation as we finish the work week will be in Deep East Texas, and in the afternoon and evening.
Rain chances will fade away throughout the night. Expect partly cloudy skies after sunset and a morning low around 70° with near calm winds.
THURSDAY & FRIDAY
Rain chances will fall to just 10% on Thursday and Friday for Tyler and Longview. The best chance for seeing a shower or storm will be in Deep East Texas in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be near 90 for both days and expect a heavy dose of sunshine! If you are hoping for dry weather, these two days are your best shot for the next week.
The pattern we settle into as we end the work week will follow us into the weekend. Expect skies to be partly to mostly cloudy both Saturday and Sunday, with a 20% chance for a few showers or a storm Saturday and a 30% for showers and storms on Sunday. Temps both days will be in the upper 80s.
Monday next week will continue this trend. Skies will be partly cloudy with a 40% chance for a few showers or a storm. Highs will continue to stay in the upper 80s.
While there aren't any major chances for rain in the forecast, small chances for rain and storms each day mean you need to keep the umbrella near by. Don't worry too much though, CBS 19 has you covered!
