TYLER, Texas — Some of East Texas in under a Slight risk for severe weather, let see what we can expect for storms in our area tonight. 


During the day today expect mostly cloudy skies and mostly dry conditions. High temp today will near 80° and it will be a bit breezy.

Rain and storm chances are looking most likely from late Sunday into early Monday. This is when the highest area of energy moves through east Texas. As of such, rain chances will be bumped up to 60% for early Monday and late Sunday night. Rain chances will be decreasing throughout the day after Monday morning, with skies that are mostly cloudy to partly cloudy around the region. 

For tonight the Storm Prediction Center has put some of the northern counties under a slight risk for severe weather, with primary threats being large hail and strong winds. 


 Next Week:

Sunshine returns by the midweek next week. Expect Sunny skies for Tuesday and Wednesday, but with slightly cooler temps. Expect a high on Tuesday of 68 and a high on Wednesday of 70.

Partly cloudy skies and a 20% chance for a few showers will return for Thursday, with mostly cloudy skies and a 30% chance for rain moving in by Friday. Temps will reach the mid-70s once again both days!

Keep the umbrellas on standby this weekend East Texas. While it doesn't look like a washout, you don't wanna be caught without one either!
