TYLER, Texas — Showers and storms, some of them severe, took up most of your Sunday around East Texas, and while the severe threat has largely gone away, the threat for showers and storms will continue tonight and into the work week.

How should you plan the days ahead? Let's take a look at what to expect!

Rain chances will stick around the forecast going into Monday and Tuesday.

Rain showers and storms, while still possible all over the region, will cover a much less broad portion of East Texas at one time Monday when compared to Sunday. Right now we are expecting a 50% chance for rain during the day, highest in the morning. This rain chance will drop to 30% Monday night. Skies will be mostly cloudy and temps will reach the mid-80s.

Tuesday will see rain chances linger around the region as well, with skies that are mostly to partly cloudy. Rain chances will be around 10% with temps that rise into the upper 80s close to 90.

Rain chances will continue to go down heading into Wednesday and Thursday. Expect partly cloudy skies Wednesday with a lingering 20% chance for rain, and then mostly sunny skies on Thursday with a 20% chance for a few showers or a storm remaining in the forecast. Temps will return to the low 90s for both Wednesday and Thursday.

Temps keep on going up as we head into the end of the work week. Expect skies to be mostly sunny, with conditions that look dry as of now. Temps will hit the low to mid-90s Friday, and feels like temps will push even higher!

Temps will drop some for Saturday and Sunday as small chances for rain start to creep back into the forecast. Expect mostly sunny skies on Saturday, with a 10% chance for rain, and a high in the low 90s. This rain chances jumps to 40% on Sunday, with mostly to partly cloudy skies. Highs on Sunday, thanks to the rain, will only be in the upper 80s.

Rain chances continue as we start the work week East Texas, so keep the umbrellas near by!
