Two Whitehouse stars sign with colleges

On Thursday, a pair of Whitehouse athletes decided where they'd be competing next year.

WHITEHOUSE - Whitehouse High School has always had some very good athletes. This year, several have signed with colleges...and on Thursday, 2 more made their decision.

Allyson Moore has decided that she'll run cross country and track at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Moore was a 2-time regional qualifier in cross country for the Wildcats and in addition to competing in that in college, she'll also continue to run the 800 meter run on the track.

Zach Taylor will continue a recent trend of Whitehouse players continuing their career at UT Tyler. Last year, Tanner Roach went from the Wildcats to the Patriots and while he didn't make the jump directly, Ryan Cheatham is also a former Whitehouse star on the UT Tyler roster.

Taylor is excited to see the number of East Texas guys who have committed to UT Tyler, saying "A lot of guys from around here kind of know each other and we know our background and so that helps you kind of want to play for each other even more."
