TYLER, Texas — Howdy East Texas!
Welcome to weekends in May. That means there will be a chance of rain but that doesn't mean it will rain. A perfect example of this was Saturday. The sky looked like it wanted to rain at times and did in some areas, but not everywhere and not all the time. Moral of the forecast for the month is to get out there and enjoy the many hours of dry, warm and humid weather. Just make sure you're staying aware of your forecast!
Here's your forecast:
SATURDAY NIGHT:
Late Saturday night and into early Sunday, the better rain chance. Clouds increase and a South wind will keep temperatures warm and muggy overnight.
SUNDAY:
A thunderstorm complex will move into East Texas early Sunday morning. This will bring widespread rain to East Texas. The heaviest of this rain will once again fall over Deep East Texas. Flood Watches are in effect for Henderson, Anderson, Houston and Trinity counties through Monday afternoon. High temperatures, thanks to the clouds and rain cooler air, will only reach the upper 70s. By afternoon, some showers and isolated thunderstorms could return, and later on in the evening possible heavy pockets of rain return as well. Once again, the best chance is over deep East Texas, with a Moderate risk of flooding and excessive rain possible.
