DALLAS — Actress, singer and entrepreneur Selena Gomez is officially a billionaire, according to a report from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The 32-year-old Grand Prairie native has become one of the youngest billionaires in the U.S. with an estimated worth of $1.3 billion.

The bulk of the former Disney Channel star’s wealth is attributed to her makeup and cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty, which was founded in 2019, according to the report.

However, other business endeavors have helped Gomez attain billionaire status including social media sponsorships, acting, endorsements, albums, real estate, and her mental health platform called Wondermind.

But each of those endeavors accounts for less than 10% of her income, 81.4% of it comes from her stake in Rare Beauty, according to the report.

She joins a small group of musicians who are reportedly worth 10 figures, including her best friend Taylor Swift. Earlier this year, Swift reportedly reached billionaire status due to her ongoing Eras Tour, song catalog, and real estate portfolio.

Gomez currently stars in Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” alongside co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. Gomez earns an estimated $6 million per season for the mystery-comedy show, which was recently renewed for its fifth season, according to Bloomberg.

Gomez has also released three studio albums, “Stars Dance” in 2013, “Revival” in 2015 and “Rare” in 2020.

Last week, Gomez made a stop at a high school volleyball game in Colorado while promoting her new movie “Emilia Perez" at the 51st Telluride Film Festival.
