HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — Three people are dead following a crash in Henderson County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Thursday, April 18, around 5 p.m., troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on SH 155 in the Berryville area.

The preliminary investigation revealed a Ford Fusion, driven by Douglas Norwood, 84, of Larue, was exiting a private drive and turning south onto SH 155. At the same time, a Honda Accord, driven by Srikar Mapakshi, 42, of Houston, was traveling north on SH 155.  DPS says the Ford failed to yield the right-of-way to the Honda. Douglas Norwood and his passenger, identified as Janet Norwood, 78, also of Larue, were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Elantra, identified as Carol Mitchell, 71, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, also died at the scene.
