TEXARKANA, Texas — A man was arrested for sexual assault after a child made an outcry to a teacher at an East Texas school district.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, an investigating began when a student confided in a teacher within Texarkana ISD about reportedly being sexually assaulted by Alberto Cucul, 45, over several years.
An arrest warrant was issued for Cucul for the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
"With the help of Homeland Security Investigations, Cucul was located and arrested last week and extradited back to Texas over the weekend," the TTPD said. "He is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail."
