CBS19 WEATHER: Thursday is a CBS19 Eye on Weather Day

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Good evening East Texas!

High pressure over Texas will slowly work its way toward the lower Mississippi valley tonight. This means we'll see an increase in clouds and a warmer night. A pair of storms, currently over the western United States, will come together and bring us an almost certain chance of rain Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. It also brings a threat for more flash flooding, especially across Deep East Texas, which is why we've labeled Thursday as a CBS19 Eye on Weather Day.

Here's your forecast:

TONIGHT:

A partly cloudy sky this evening will turn cloudy overnight as a light southeast wind continues. After midnight, the sky becomes cloudy and the temperature only drops into the upper 50s.

THURSDAY:

Thursday is a CBS19 Eye on Weather Day. It's likely that some areas, especially deep East Texas, could see 3-5+ inches of rain in some areas, causing more flooding. This system looks to move in by the afternoon, and blow through by late evening. While our greatest threat of this storm system is flash flooding, along the edge of this storms we could also see gusty damaging winds.
