TYLER- The UT Tyler Softball team definitely showed their resilience on Wednesday afternoon. The Patriots overcame two different deficits to pull out two different victories.
After falling behind 2-0 in Game 1, the Patriots exploded for five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, capped by Victoria Gonzales' three-run homer. UT Tyler would hold on to win 6-2.
In Game 2, the Patriots erased a 3 run deficit in the bottom of the 7th to win the game on a walk off single by Theresa Gonzales. The 7-6 victory is the Patriots seventh consecutive win.
Next up for the Patriots is a three-game series against Belhaven. A doubleheader is set for Friday at 1pm.
