KILGORE, Texas — Troopers seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana and 80 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop just after 11 a.m. on Sunday, just north of Kilgore.
According to Texas DPS in North Texas, a Trooper stopped a GMC work truck on Interstate 20 for a traffic violation.
Authorities said that "due to several indications of possible criminal activity," troopers conducted a canine search.
While searching the vehicle, the Trooper found duffel bags with marijuana, additional separate bags of marijuana and marijuana edibles hidden in the truck.
DPS also noted that the drugs were allegedly were being taken from the west coast to Florida.
