50 Cent to launch movie, TV studio in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. — A news conference will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday on the steps of Government Plaza in Shreveport to officially launch 50 Cent's G-Unit Studios. 

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's G-Unit Film and Television Company is leasing the city-owned Millennium Studios.  

Jackson, a GRAMMY and Emmy award winner, founded his company in 2005 and has produced a wide range of content and sold a myriad of shows to various networks. 

Some of the projects the studio has produced include:

  • Blood Out
  • Fire with Fire
  • Power
  • For Life

50 Cent is best known for his songs ("In da Club," "Candy Shop," "21 Questions") and close relationships with Eminem and Dr. Dre.
