CARTHAGE, Texas — Jada Walton was simply looking to extend the play.
The Carthage High School senior softball player rounded third base looking to potentially score when she realized the likelihood was not very good.
Instead of simply sliding into home plate, Walton instead jumped out of the way and went into a faceoff with Center’s catcher.
