Silver Alert activated for missing Alzheimer's patient in Lufkin

Lufkin police are organizing a search for 85-year-old Moses Jeffero. Volunteers are asked to gather Brandon Park at 3 p.m.

LUFKIN — UPDATE: The Lufkin Police Department said that if Moses Jeffero is not found over Monday night, volunteers can meet at Jones Park basketball courts at 9 a.m. Tuesday if they want to help in the search.

The Lufkin Police Department activated a Silver Alert for a man reported missing by his wife Sunday evening.

According to the Lufkin Police Department, Moses Jeffero, 85, was reported missing by his wife Sunday evening. Jeffero wife says he was last seen jumping the back fence of his home at 802 Rowe Ave. at about 5:55 p.m.

Jeffero, who has Alzheimer's Disease, is about 5'11'', 200 lbs. He has gray and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweat suit and green shoes.

Lufkin police are organizing a search for Jeffero. Volunteers are asked to gather Brandon Park at 3 p.m.
