TYLER — Shelly Hunter, a 47-year-old Whitehouse native, pleaded guilty on Monday to interstate transport of stolen funds during her time working for Peltier Chevrolet Inc.

According to court proceedings Hunter worked for Peltier as their Business Office Manager from March 2005 to February 2017.

Hunter also wired funds directly from the dealership’s bank account to her credit card accounts.

Various means to hide the theft of funds from the dealership. Her ways to conceal the thefts included forging the Peltier manager's signature, initiating authorized payments, making fraudulent entries in Peltier’s general ledger, and generating false bank reconciliations.
