FFA students, 4-H members showcase their animals, agriculture projects at Smith County Youth Expo

The expo included 292 projects entered by more than 185 students from Smith County school and 4-H members.

BULLARD, Texas — This week, local FFA students showed off their hard work in raising their animals and building agriculture projects at the 17th annual Smith County Youth Expo. 

School districts across East Texas gathered at Bullard High School to participate in the contests where FFA students and 4-H members showcased their market steers, barrows, lambs, goats, roasters, rabbits, and ag mechanics projects .

The expo included 292 projects entered by more than 185 students from Arp ISD, Bullard ISD, Chapel Hill ISD, Lindale ISD, Troup ISD, Tyler ISD, Whitehouse ISD, Winona ISD and Smith County 4-H.

Since 2008, the Smith County Youth Expo has given over 140 scholarships to deserving senior students.
