The 'Lighten Up East Texas' contest is challenging people to lose weight for a highly anticipated prize.
For every 5% of your body weight lost between now through the end of April, people will receive one entry to draw for the grand prize of $5,000.
Fit City Tyler will hold a celebration event on Thursday May 16, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Fresh by Brookshire's. Randomly selected winners will be drawn at the event and admission is free.
