LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview police report says 54-year-old Hector Francisco Vancini died after a Jan. 17 altercation in a restaurant parking lot.
The police department released portions of a report on the incident following a request for records the News-Journal filed under the state’s public information laws. Much of the report is redacted as the city seeks an opinion from the Texas Attorney General’s Office about whether some of the information must be released.
Longview police had previously not identified Vancini.
