Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue employees to purchase gifts for Salvation Army Angel Tree

Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue staff members are expecting to purchase Christmas gifts for over 50 children during their holiday party.

TYLER, Texas — In the spirit of the holidays, staff members at Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue will be purchasing gifts for over 50 Salvation Army Angel Tree children during their annual employee Christmas party on Sunday.

Due to the unique timing of the Stanley's holiday employee party, staff members have decided to dedicate their own Salvation Army tree which will be displayed on their patio.

According to the press release, "Each staff member gets to choose an Angel from the tree and purchase gifts of new clothing and toys using a donation provided by owners Jen and Nick Pencis."

After all the toys have been collected, they will be delivered to the respective Angel's family to set underneath their Christmas tree.

This is the second year Stanley's crews will be participating in the Angel Tree program and owners Jen and Nick Pencis are always encouraging their employees to volunteer through nonprofits or company-sponsored activities within the community.

"One of the most extraordinary things about growing a successful business through the years has been the immeasurable luxury of having enough to give back," co-owner Jen Pencis said.
