Tyler man indicted for allegedly sexually abusing children

TYLER, Texas — A Smith County grand jury indicted a Tyler man on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child after allegations surfaced that he abused two underage male victims from 2009 to 2010.

William Henry Aldridge, 28, was indicted during the Jan. 16 session after being arrested and charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14. He remains in Smith County Jail and has a $500,000 bond.

The older victim told law officers that Aldridge was in his home and allegedly instigated inappropriate touching between them. The victim then ran out of the room, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
