More than a thousand people made their way to the Harvey Convention Center for the 35th Annual 'Taste of Tyler'.
The East Texas Restaurant Association hosted the Thursday event.
Not only do hungry attendees benefit from the event, it also helped area culinary and hospitality students at East Texas high schools and colleges.
Students from three East Texas high schools walked away with cash prizes following a culinary competition hosted at this year's event.
Live entertainment was provided by the Tuxedo Cats.
