Sulphur Springs ISD cancels classes March 7 to allow fans to attend boys state semifinal game

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas — Sulphur Springs Independent School District has announced they are canceling classes for Thursday, March 7, to allow fans to travel to San Antonio for the boys basketball semifinal contest.

The Wildcats punched their ticket to the Alamo City with Saturday's 58-51 win over Frisco Lone Star in the 5A Region II final at Garland.

Sulphur Springs (29-8) will go head-to-head with the Wagner Thunderbirds (32-5) at the Alamodome for a chance at the 5A state title game on Saturday, March 9, at 3 p.m.
