WINONA (KYTX) - Students and staff in Winona ISD has to implement a shelter in place as a precaution Monday morning. The shelter in place was implemented for just one hour as police officer searched the area for suspected burglars in the area around 9:30. The shelter was lifted once it was determined that all danger had passed.
There is no word on weather the suspected burglars were found, but school representatives say safety is the district's number on priority in any type of situation.
