Free admission days in 2024 for National Park Service sites

On six days in 2024, all National Park Service Sites will offer free admission. Here's when to plan your trip.

PHOENIX — With the temperatures getting warmer and the sun shining bright, getting outside seems like a no-brainer. Something else that is a no-brainer? Saving money. And the National Parks Service has a way for you to do both.

Fee-free days are days throughout 2024 when you can visit your favorite NPS sites without having to pay admission. There are six days in 2024:

  • January 15: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • April 20: First day of National Park Week
  • June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
  • August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
  • September 28: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

There are more than 400 parks across the country to visit, including 25 in Arizona. From the Grand Canyon to the Petrified Forest, there are plenty of options in Arizona to visit on fee-free days.

Fee-free days do not include amenity or user fees for activities.

For more information on fee-free days, head to the NPS website.
