KILGORE, Texas — A 38-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a car early Sunday morning on State Highway 31 outside Kilgore.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Kelton Jayce Meshell, 21, was driving a Dodge Challenger east on SH 31 and hit a pedestrian walking in the road.
The pedestrian was later identified as Aundrea Sharell Powe, 38, of Kilgore. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
