With its punch and umami flavor, here's a little bit more about the condiment with so many uses. It's a fermented liquid condiment generally made from vinegar, molasses, sugar, onion, garlic, tamarind and anchovies. Some also use lemon flavoring and soy sauce.

As it turns out, the sauce got its name from an English town just south of Birmingham, where the locals can pronounce the sauce's name with ease.
Worcestershire sauce was invented by pharmacists John Wheeley Lea and William Henry Perrins. They made it in the city of Worcester in Worcestershire, England.
Now, the sauce is used all over the world in countless dishes.
