Construction is almost complete at Tyler's newest sports bar. It's in the process of hiring more than 100 people. The slogan says the restaurant promises to "deliver delight."
It's going in at the former El Chico restaurant on Loop 323 and Donnybrook.
The choice of location for the new Double D's Ranch is serving up mixed emotions. It's right across the street from Robert E Lee High School and next to Toys R' Us.
"These kids are coming in and out. I don't want that in the parking lot of a toy store," mom Amanda Loden said.
But other moms look forward to a new venue coming to the rose city.
"I think its great for new things to come to Tyler actually because Tyler's a little narrow minded so I think its good for the community," Melissa Pruitt said.
The same company that owned El Chico owns the Double D's Ranch. The closest DD Ranch to Tyler is Bossier City, LA.
