TRINITY COUNTY, Texas — A Deep East Texas man was found dead in swift water on a flooded road in Trinity County early Thursday morning.
According to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of multiple cars in high water on Piney Creek Road.
Deputies learned 74-year-old Roy Beauchamp, of Corrigan, was missing after he tried to go back to his vehicle to go get some items, the sheriff's office said.
After searching alongside other agencies, Beauchamp's body was found in swift water and retrieved around midnight Thursday, TCSO said.
"Our prayers go out to to the family of Mr. Beauchamp," the sheriff's office said.
