EDGEWOOD, Texas — A fire destroyed a house and killed a dog in Edgewood early Friday morning.
According to the Fruitvale Volunteer Fire Department, firefighters responded to a house fire off of County Road 3602 around 3:15 a.m.
With the help of the Wills Point Fire Department, the fire was extinguished but the house is considered a total loss.
FFD said everyone got out of the house except a dog.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
