LUFKIN, Texas — The Lufkin Police Department is investigating after a man was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
According to the LPD, the shooting occurred around 10:20 p.m., in the 100 block of W. Laurel Ave. Police say a man was shot and seeking help from a neighbor.
The man told officers he was robbed and shot by a man he recognized, but didn’t know the suspect’s name.
The victim was flown to an out-of-town hospital and is stable at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
