East Texas woman killed after head-on collision wreck in Cherokee County

Sabrina A. Gray, 41, of Cuney, was driving northwest on US Highway 175 in the wrong lane, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas — An East Texas woman was killed Sunday morning after a head-on collision with a truck towing a trailer in Cherokee County. 

Sabrina A. Gray, 41, of Cuney, was driving northwest on US Highway 175 in the wrong lane, while Pete E. Garner, 59, of Brownsboro, who was towing a trailer his truck, was traveling southeast and struck Gray's car head-on. Gray was ejected from her vehicle, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety

DPS said Gray was pronounced dead at the scene. Garner was taken to a Tyler hospital for his injuries. 

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
