RUSK COUNTY, Texas — A former Rusk County Sheriff's Office worker has been arrested for accusations of having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate on Thursday.

According to an internal investigation, officials claim Kaitlyn Rhodes was charged with two felony offenses for bringing prohibited items into a correctional facility and having an inappropriate relationship with a person in custody.

As of now, Rhodes has been separated from her employment at the sheriff's office with bonds totaling $50,000.

No additional information can be released since criminal prosecution is pending, according to the Facebook post.
