Popular Longview Japanese steakhouse to close at the end of the year

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have supported us throughout our 17 years of operation," the restaurant said

LONGVIEW, Texas — A popular Longview restaurant will close its doors at the end of the year after nearly two decades in business.

The owners of Kobee Longview Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Pub announced they will be closing their restaurant Dec. 31, 2023.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have supported us throughout our 17 years of operation," the restaurant said. "It was a privilege to serve our community , and we decided it is time to move on to different things. Thank you for all the love, the hate, the support, the bashes, everything positive and negative as well, that help us shape and strive who we are, and after 17 years, it is bittersweet to be closing, but it is time to focus on something different. Hopefully people will support the next owners or business that will open after us. But for the current owners, it is time to hang it up and spend more time with family. Again, I cannot say THANK YOU enough.  We love this community and city."

Kobee is located at 401 N. Spur 63  in Longview. They're open Monday-Friday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday from 4-9 p.m.
