Man involved in 2017 gas station robbery death sentenced to 35 years in prison

One of the men charged in connection with the death of a Conoco gas station clerk in 2017 was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder. 

LaMarcus Jhermaine Hannah, 35, of Tyler, was sentenced after his plea Friday in the 114th District Courtroom.  He was originally charged with capital murder, according to Smith County judicial records.

Hannah, Kedarius Oliver and Dameon Mosley were all charged with capital murder regarding the shooting of death of Billy Stacks, 62, of Tyler, who was a clerk at the Conoco gas station at 3319 NNE Loop 323. Stacks was shot when the store was robbed in early hours of Jan. 28. Officials said Stacks was shot several times in his head and a shoulder.
