No injures reported after live electrical wires cause fire at Longview motel

The blaze caused an estimated $3,000.00 in damage, the Longview Fire Department said.

LONGVIEW, Texas — No one was injured after a fire at a Longview motel caused about $3,000 in damage Wednesday. 

According to the Longview Fire Department, the blaze happened at the Texas Lodge motel, located at 1507 E. Marshall Ave. The fire was found in the attic of the attached drive-thru covered parking area, where customers stop to check in. 

LFD said the fire was extinguished quickly and firefighters later determined it was caused by live electrical wires that ignited organic material inside the void area.

No one was injured. The blaze caused an estimated $3,000.00 in damage, Longview Fire said.
