POLK COUNTY, Texas — One person was detained after a shooting in Polk County injured one person Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Big Man Road.
On the scene, deputies found one person with gunshot wounds.
Officials said while the victim received first aid, a person of interest was detained.
The investigation is ongoing.
Polk County Sheriff Lyons said there is no further threat to the public.
