CARTHAGE, Texas — The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame has announced its 2024 inductees.
During a press conference, the museum, which is located in Carthage, revealed the following would be honored as part of their annual ceremony:
- Roy Orbison - Orbison, who was born in Vernon, is best known for his hits such as "Only the Lonley," "Crying," and "Pretty Woman." Orbison died in December 1988.
- The Mandrell Sisters - The Mandrell Sisters hosted a variety show from 1980-1982 where they performed music and comedic sketches for the audience.
- Tracy Lawrence - The East Texas native (Atlanta) and 90s country music icon is most known for his hits "Alibis," "Time Marches On," "Texas Tornado" and "Find Out Who Your Friends Are."
The induction ceremony will take place Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Carthage Civic Center at 6 p.m. For ticket information, click here.
