TYLER, Texas — One viewer in East Texas captured a bright object shining in the night sky and are wondering exactly what they saw.
For those of you wondering, no, it was not a UFO sighting.
Our CBS19 Chief Meteorologist Brett Anthony clarified that the bright sighting was the SpaceX rocket Falcon 9 shining in the sky.
The rocket originally took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida making a trip around Earth before burning off in its second stage south of El Paso.
During the second stage of the rocket burn combined with the glow of the night sky confused some viewers into believing it was a UFO sighting.
