Voters pass Pittsburg ISD's $93.8 million bond to fund new high school, other renovations

Proposition totals $74.4 million, which will fund a new high school, safety and security and a bus road, according to unofficial election results.

PITTSBURG, Texas — Voters approved both propositions within Pittsburg ISD's $93.8 million bond following Saturday's election. 

Proposition A passed with 1,396 votes in favor and 924 votes against. The proposition totals $74.4 million, which will fund a new high school, safety and security and a bus road, according to unofficial election results. 

Proposition B passed with 1,367 votes in favor and 946 votes against. The $19.4 million proposition will fund junior high additions and renovations as well as safety and security measures, the results show. 

The PISD Board of Trustees approved calling the election after a facilities planning committee, including more than 20 Pittsburg ISD community members, made the proposal with the staff and administration. The district said the process began in 2022.
