HOUSTON — One of quarterback CJ Stroud’s biggest weapons will be wearing Texans' deep steel blue again next season, according to reports.
The deal was first reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, citing sources, and later by CBS Sports’ Jonathon Jones. Rapoport said the deal is for three years and $36 million with $23.5 million guaranteed.
Schultz, 27, joined Houston last season on a one-year deal after spending his first five seasons of his career in Dallas. The Texans’ tight end hauled in 59 passes for 635 yards and five touchdowns in 2023.
For his career, Schultz has 270 receptions for 2,757 yards and 22 touchdowns.
He was a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys out of Stanford in 2018.
