NACOGDOCHES - The brackets are back and the madness of march has officially returned. One East Texas basketball team has punched their ticket to the national tournament. In Nacogdoches the Stephen F. Austin men's basketball team celebrated selection Sunday by watching their team advance to the big dance. Saturday, the lumberjacks defeated Southeastern Louisiana in the Southland Conference championship game 59-55.
This will be the teams fifth appearance in the tournament and the third time in the last 4 years. Now that the 'Jacks have won the automatic bid into the national tournament they will now #3 seed Texas Tech in Dallas this Thursday.
