TYLER, Texas — As drought-like conditions continue and every county in East Texas is under a burn ban, a multitude of grass fires have erupted across the region. Although there are no active grass fires, you can view the status of live fires here.
Below is an updated list of all the counties in East Texas that have provided updates regarding the grass fire conditions and status of them:
“This week we’ve had a couple of small fires where citations have been issued," details Smith County Fire Marshal Jay Brooks. "One on County Road 15, one on County Road 181, and another on County Road 347 where the guy ran because he had 'drug warrants' because he burning trash."
