The National Weather Service out of Shreveport has confirmed that there was no tornado in the Azalea District in Tyler on Thursday morning.

The storm that went through the district was the result of heavy, straight-line winds up to 100 miles per hour. This is just the result of the survey in the Azalea District, the NWS teams are still surveying other locations in East Texas.

According to NWS, the teams are reviewing damages left in the wake of severe storms that moved throughout East Texas late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
