COFFEE CITY, Texas — According to the Coffee City Police Department Facebook, one person is dead and one person in critical condition after a wreck at the 7700 block of Highway 155 at approximately 2:30 a.m.
The driver of a car was taken to UT Tyler by Life Flight in critical condition and the driver of the pickup truck was pronounced deceased on scene.
After an investigation, it was concluded the spare tire on the car failed as the driver was entering Coffee City and the driver lost control and veered into oncoming traffic striking the pickup truck head on.
