Passengers safe after vehicle gets stuck in high water north of Jacksonville

Our reporter on the scene said a wrecker has taken the car out of the water.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas — People who were stuck in a vehicle in high water north of Jacksonville Tuesday are safe. 

Our reporter on the scene said a wrecker has taken the car out of the water. County Road 4120 near County Road 4121 is flooded as well and people are turning around. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers assisted in the rescue. 

Cherokee County Sheriff Brent Dickson said the rescue, which was not life threatening, happened on County Road 4121.
