YANTIS, Texas — An East Texas school district is sending prayers and love to one of its kindergartners injured in a utility terrain vehicle accident this past weekend.
Yantis ISD said the school's family is coming together in support of Dalton McKeever, who is recovering from the UTV accident. He is currently undergoing medical treatment that will include several surgeries and a lengthy recovery.
As a way to support Dalton and his family, Yantis ISD students and staff will wear a hat and donate $1 on Wednesday. All funds raised will go toward the McKeever family.
"Our hearts are with him and his family during this challenging time," YISD said. "Dalton, we want you to know that you're not alone. Your strength and resilience inspire us all, and we're sending you all the love, prayers, and positive vibes for a speedy recovery."
