Lufkin ISD police issue warrants for students accused of vandalizing high school in 'senior prank'

These students won't get to be in graduation Thursday night.

LUFKIN, Texas — Five high school seniors have warrants out for their arrest after a "senior prank" left the Lufkin High School campus vandalized. 

According to a statement from Lufkin ISD,  the district's police department issued warrants for the five students accused of vandalizing the Lufkin High School campus afterhours. The district believes the damage was done during a "senior prank." These students won't get to participate in graduation Thursday night. 

"Lufkin ISD will not tolerate this type of behavior that results in destruction of public property and disregard for staff, other students and the learning environment of our campuses," LISD said.  "Parents need to have conversations with their children that these pranks can lead to school consequences, criminal charges and restitution for damages."
