WHITEHOUSE, Texas — A fire at a Tyler car dealership caused significant damages after high winds caused several boats to strike gas lines.

The Tyler Fire Department responded to a fire just after 2 a.m. at Tyler Car and Truck Center in Tyler, located at 4809 Troup Highway.

An employee said high winds blew several boats into gas lines and a fire started inside the building. This caused significant damage but the employee said the business does plan to be open, just outside of the building.
