SMITH COUNTY, Texas — A Tyler man has died after a single vehicle accident on SH 64 West in Smith County.
According to a preliminary crash report, 52-year-old Acosta Lugo, of Tyler, was driving east on SH 64 West when for an unknown reason the vehicle left the roadway to the right.
The vehicle struck a stationary piece of road construction equipment.
Lugo was pronounced at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
